Step 1: Before initiating the scan to computer setup, you need to ensure that macOS has the latest scanner software. Select the Apple menu from your macOS device. Go to About this Mac and tap on the Software Updates option. In case, you have a multifunctional AirPrint scanner and printer then you do not require to check the software updates.

Step 1: Firstly, place the document side down on the scanner glass. Close the scanner lid. If your printer has an automatic document feeder then use it to scan the documents.
Step 2: After that, open HP Easy Scan or search Mac for “scan”. Tap on HP Easy Scan from the given list. Open HP Easy Scan.
Step 3: Select your printer from the Scanner drop-down menu.
Step 4: Choose the appropriate scan job from the Presets menu and tap on Scan.
Step 5: In the next step, a thumbnail of the scanner lid loads in the left panel. Tap on the thumbnail to adjust the color, crop the size, or straighten the scan. Click on the edit button.
Step 6: Once you complete editing, tap on the Send button in the right corner of the window and then tap on Folder.
Step 7: At last, change the file name in the Prefix field. Click where you want to save the document. Thereafter, click on the Save button.
